Little Rock's economy is largely supported by the state government, private employers in the service sector, and the University of Arkansas's large teaching hospital. Little Rock also has a modest high-tech presence, and boasts great availability of healthcare resources and a low cost of living with relatively high incomes. Summers in Little Rock are warm and humid but winters tend to be mild. Pine Bluff is an agricultural, industrial, and railroad town with a low cost of living but a high violent-crime rate. The economy in Pine Bluff is spurred by cotton, rice, poultry, paper, steel, wire, and electrical manufacturing. Some military-related employment is provided from the Pine Bluff arsenal. Fayetteville is one of the fastest growing regions in the country, and is home to the University if Arkansas. Fayetteville is often lumped together with the neighboring cities of Rogers, Springdale, and Bentonville.
